Hassan Beydoun is the Senior Advisor and Counsel to the
Mayor for the City of Detroit. Hassan has led the City’s Jobs
and Economy Team, focusing on high-impact developments
and Detroits transformation into a hub for entrepreneurs and
innovators. His team streamlined regulations and removed
barriers to growth through initiatives like the Transportation
Innovation Zone around Michigan Central. Before that role,
Hassan was General Counsel to the Michigan House of
Representatives, where he developed and advised on key
legislation, including the Detroit Grand Bargain. He holds a
B.A. in Philosophy from Wayne State University and
graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College
of Law.
