Mohamad H. Bandar is a long-time resident of the Detroit area. He came to the U.S. in 1981 and
attended Wayne State University. Since 1984, he has been a self-employed business owner in
the gas station industry, and is now transitioning into semi-retirement. Throughout the years,
Mohamad has remained actively involved in the community. He has served on the Lebanese
American Heritage Club Board, and for the past 20 years he has been honored to serve as the
Chairman of the Fundraising Committee at the Islamic Center of America.
Mohamad is married to Yvonne Turfe and they have one daughter, Jenna.
