PART-TIME position of FINANCE MANAGER. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least two years' experience in the financial management of a non-for-profit organization. SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) In House Maintenance * Responsible for accounting, bookkeeping, and data entry for the organization's finances, including the allocation of expenditures and income to programs, grants, and accounts.
* Responsible for preparing invoice payments.
* Responsible for preparing staff reimbursement payments.
* Responsible for completing monthly income and expense reports.
* With the Board Finance Subcommittee, responsible for quarterly financial reporting to the Board of Directors, including allocated and Year To Date (YTD) actuals by program; allocated and YTD actuals by grant; and allocated and YTD actuals by Total Revenue and Expenditure.
* Responsible for collecting and compiling time sheets, and managing the payroll.
* Responsible for maintaining employee files.
* Responsible for the preparation of financial audits; and communication with auditors, bank employees, and the Board Finance Subcommittee.
* Responsible for maintaining a database of individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
* Responsible for ensuring that all financial and insurance policies and procedures are current.
2) Grant Management * Responsible for vouchering to grantors for reimbursement.
* Responsible for completing financial reports for and other financial follow-up with funders, including budget justifications. * Responsible for the maintaining and organizing of financial files.
* Responsible for working with Board Finance Subcommittee, Executive Director, and staff to assist with budgets for grants and programs, and with the overall organizational budget. The Finance Manager will be supervised by the Executive Director, and will report to the Executive Director, the Board Finance Subcommittee, and the full Board of Directors.

The Arab American Action Network is also recruiting for a qualified individual to fill the position of YOUTH PROGRAM COORDINATOR for its After School and Summer Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree or at least three years' experience working with youth in a community based organization. Ability to speak Arabic preferred.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Facilitating After-School and Summer Program:
· Providing individualized tutoring and homework assistance for youth participants between the ages of 6 and 18.
· Implementing the itemized work program established in partnership with the Chicago Department of Human Services.
· Developing culturally-relevant and age-appropriate curricula for the program.
· Coordinating and implementing structured recreational programs, including sports, arts and crafts, and creative expression.
· Coordinating job and life-skills training workshops for youth by recruiting individuals and/or organizations that provide these services.
· Organizing activities with the families and parents of youth participants.
· Facilitating case management for the youth participants as needed.
· Organizing and maintaining participant files.
· Organizing and maintaining program files, including daily sign-in sheets and project descriptions.
· Organizing and supervising special events and fieldtrips.
· Maintaining program budget in collaboration with Executive Director and Finance Manager.
· Producing program reports for funders, Executive Director, and Board of Directors as needed.
· Working closely with other AAAN staff in developing and implementing organization-wide events and activities, including fundraisers and the annual event.
2) Outreach and Recruitment of Youth Participants: · Recruiting youth for programs by local outreach at elementary and high schools, including working with school counselors, volunteer service coordinators, administrators, and faculty to target the Arab constituency at the respective schools.
· Networking with other community-based organizations to recruit youth participants.
· Disseminating outreach materials throughout the community, and conducting home visits to recruit youth participants.
3) Volunteer Recruitment and Training: · Recruiting volunteers for programs, targeting the local Arab professional associations as well as local universities and colleges.
· Conducting background checks for volunteers.
· Training volunteers to provide individual tutoring, homework assistance, and mentoring.
· Supervising tutors and volunteers in the implementation of after- school and summer activities.
· Organizing and maintaining volunteer files.
The Youth Program Coordinator will be supervised by the Executive Director, and will report to the Executive Director and the full Board of Directors.
