Workforce Investment ACT Youth Program

SEMCA Region

Eligibility:  Low income youth ages 14-21 residing in Wayne County excluding the city of Detroit (eligibility criteria must be met)

Coordinator: Najwa Hadous

Employment & Training

Services:  Case management and referral services, mentoring career counseling, tutoring and summer work experience for in-school youth, employability skills and youth development workshops, opportunities for paid training (if eligibility criteria are met), assistance with job search and placement, 12 month follow-up services.

City of Detroit

Eligibility:  Low income youth ages 19-21 residing in the city of Detroit (eligibility criteria must be met)

Coordinator: Najwa Hadous 

Employment & Training
Services:  Case management and referral services, mentoring, career counseling, basic skills and GED training, employability skills and youth development workshops, assistance with job search and placement, 12 month follow-up services.
