An overwhelming percentage of refugees utilize the services of ACCESS mental health programming. This center serves a large number of survivors of torture, as well as refugees and their families as they suffer through emotional problems including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and major depression.

Maintaining a holistic approach of treatment is multidisciplinary, providing multiple services to the entire family including other ACCESS departments’ i.e. medical assistance at the ACCESS Health Clinic, Pharmaceutical Services, Employment and Training Services, and Immigration and Social Services

Asylum seekers mainly from African countries including: Senegal, Togo, Mauritania, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Cameroon, Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, and Somalia
