The Victims of Crime program was developed in August of 2006 in response to the growing number of victims of crime. The program aims to help individuals and/or families achieve emotional stability and pursue a productive life free from fear. The program serves adults, children, and families who suffer from domestic violence, abuse, hate crimes, or other forms of crime.
Goals

Help victims heal from their victimization in a manner that empowers them and builds upon individual and family strengths -
Offer victims and their families solutions which include legal assessment, consultation, investigation, advocacy, and assistance with victim compensation -
Increase the level of awareness and services that are available for victims of crime -
Continue to cultivate a working relationship with the domestic violence prevention program in order to prevent additional incidences of domestic violence
