Director, Provider Network Management
Brenda R. Lever joined for Blue Cross Complete of Michigan and AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care Plus in June 2015 as the Director of Provider Network Management, where she is responsible for provider contracting, communications and maintaining provider relationships.
Ms. Lever brings to her role over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare field. Her focus has been in Medicaid managed care health plans and on all aspects of provider relations and community outreach. Prior to her current position, she served as the Director of Provider Network Operations at Blue Cross Shield of Michigan where she was responsible for directing the expansion of the provider network increasing it from three counties to thirty two.
Prior to joining Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Ms. Lever was a faculty member at the University of Phoenix, with a concentration on leadership, marketing and human resources. Throughout her career, Ms. Lever has held a number of key leadership positions in leading government funded managed care organizations with responsibility for strategic growth, provider network management and product promotion.
Education/Certifications
Ms. Lever holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Services Management both from Spring Arbor University.
