Explore Michigan Avenue’s arts district through the lens of immigration and identity, key themes featured in Jhumpa Lahiri's novel, The Namesake. This event begins with a guided visit to American Landscape, an exhibit by Syrian American artist Nabil Mousa on display in AANM's Main Floor Gallery. Guests will then walk across the street to tour an artist’s studio in Dearborn’s City Hall ArtSpace Lofts.

This event is part of a community program taking place throughout the city and organized by the Dearborn Public Library. Free copies of the novel in English and Arabic will be available to the public at the Big Read Kickoff being held at Dearborn's Ford Community & Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 18.
