ACCESS ACTS and Dearborn Goodfellows partner to give to less fortunate

On Sunday, December 7th, youth volunteers of ACCESS ACTS collected over $500 from local businesses around the East side of Dearborn. The youth have partnered with the Dearborn Goodfellows to collect the funds for care packages that will be provided to families that are less fortunate. Packages will go out to over 900 children in about 400 families this holiday season.

"I am blessed to have the opportunity to educate our youth about the importance of giving back to the community," said Rachid Elabed, NNAAC Advocacy & Civic Engagement Specialist. "It's important to help the less fortunate."

ACCESS ACTS will come together again with the Dearborn Goodfellows on December 19th from 6 – 8 p.m. to assemble the care packages at the Village Ford parts/ body shop at 23915 Kean Street.
