Santa to visit Salina Elementary on Dec. 19

Santa Claus will make an early stop at Salina Elementary School in Dearborn from 9:30 a.m.-noon on Thursday, Dec. 19 to make sure children of all backgrounds receive a gift this holiday season. For some children, this will be their only visit from Santa this year.

Each December for more than 40 years, ACCESS teams with local businesses and nonprofit groups for the Salina Holiday Celebration. ACCESS and Comerica Bank are the main sponsors, with other partners including the Kiwanis Club of Dearborn and Blue Cross Blue Shield, all working together to distribute toys and healthy snacks to elementary schoolchildren on Dearborn’s southeast side.

Volunteers from the various partnering groups will be on hand to help Santa as he greets about 900 excited children, all of whom will have the opportunity to spend time with the jolly elf.

Salina Elementary School is located at 2700 Ferney St. in Dearborn, Mich. The media is welcome to join us.
