ACCESS to offer free sports physicals for students throughout May

Ages 10 to 21, uninsured or insured, are eligible

DEARBORN, Mich. – School sports season is here! Just in time for this springtime tradition, the ACCESS Community Health and Research Center (CHRC) is offering free sports physicals for students during the month of May.

For the first time, these free physicals are available for students (ages 10 to 21 only) who are uninsured or have limited insurance. The physicals are also available for the insured at regular cost to insurance companies but with no copays for patients.

“This is a great opportunity for our youth to visit the Center and take advantage of their sports physical requirements before the sports season really heats up,” said Jehad Najda, Supervisor of the ACCESS Adolescent Health Program.

The physicals are available by appointment at the ACCESS Clinic, 6450 Maple St. in Dearborn, by calling 313-624-0408 or 313-216-2203. Those seeking free physicals are requested to bring:

ACCESS’ free sports physicals are possible in cooperation with the Child and Adolescent Health Center Program, the Michigan Department of Community Health and the Michigan Department of Education.
