ACCESS and the Arab American National Museum (AANM) are pleased to congratulate Diane Rehm, longtime radio personality and host of the award-winning The Diane Rehm Show on NPR for being named a 2013 National Humanities Medal award recipient by President Obama.

The Teen Grantmaking Initiative (TGI), a group of 20 young philanthropists in Michigan sponsored by the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP), recently awarded five $1,000 grants to area non-profit organizations serving youth in the metro Detroit community.

The leadership, board and staff at ACCESS join in mourning the loss of American entertainment icon and proud Arab American Casey Kasem, who died Sunday in a Washington State hospital following a long illness. He was 82.
